The United States is the largest pepper importing market with 5,890 tons in the first two months, a decrease of 32.7% compared to the same period in 2024, accounting for 21.5% of the market share.

China has seen the strongest increase at 86.6%. In 2024, the export value reached $ 1.32 billion from a production of 200,000 tons.

VPSA forecasts that in 2025, pepper exports could reach a record $ 1.5 billion due to global production decline and stable demand. Vietnam currently accounts for about 40% of the global production and 55% of the global pepper export value.
