(VAN) Coffee prices on May 13, 2025 decreased by VND 1,200, trading around VND 125,500 – 126,000/kg. Global coffee prices also fell sharply.

On the global market, both the London and New York exchanges saw sharp declines on May 13, 2025.

Specifically, Robusta coffee on the London exchange for July 2025 delivery dropped by $ 174 (equivalent to 3.33%), falling to $ 5,052/ton. The September 2025 contract also fell by $ 168 (3.24%) to $ 5,013/ton.

Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, Arabica coffee for July 2025 delivery plunged by 14.8 cents (3.82%) to 372.95 cents/lb. The September 2025 contract dropped by 14 cents (3.66%) to 368.45 cents/lb.

Coffee prices today on the global market saw a sharp decline across the board. The trade negotiation between the United States and China concluded successfully as both sides agreed to significantly reduce tariffs on each other's goods for a temporary period of 90 days.

Specifically, the U.S. will lower import tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30%, while China will also reduce tariffs on U.S. goods from 125% to 10%. According to Barchart, coffee prices dropped sharply due to the U.S. Dollar Index (DXY) rising strongly, reaching its highest level in a month.

Thus, global coffee prices on May 13, 2025, fell sharply compared to the previous session.

In Dak Nong province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R’lap are both offering VND 126,000/kg.

In Gia Lai province, Chu Prong district is trading at VND 125,800/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai districts are maintaining a price of VND 125,700/kg.

Meanwhile, the coffee purchasing price in Kon Tum today is VND 125,800/kg.

Coffee prices in the domestic market dropped by as much as VND 1,200, pushing this agricultural product down to VND 126,000/kg.

Thus, domestic coffee prices on May 13, 2025, are trading in the range of VND 125,500 - 126,000/kg.
