In Brazil, the price of black pepper ASTA 570 is trading at $6,800/ton.
In Vietnam, export prices for black pepper grade 500 g/l are at $6,700/ton, while grade 550 g/l remains at $6,800/ton. White pepper exports remain at $9,700/ton.
Global pepper prices on May 12 remain stable. Over the past week, the global pepper market showed a slight downward trend, with price declines recorded in Indonesia and Brazil for black pepper, while other producing countries held steady.
The average export price in the first four months reached $6,110/ton, up 69.7% year-on-year. In April specifically, the average price was $5,693/ton, down 10.3% from the previous month but still 43.2% higher than in April 2024.
