Globally, pepper prices have rebounded in Indonesia as of March 14.
Specifically, the price of black pepper Lampung in Indonesia rose slightly by 0.15% to $ 7,265/ton, while white pepper Muntok also increased by 0.15% to $ 10,252/ton.
In Malaysia, Kuching ASTA black pepper is priced at $ 9,800/ton, while ASTA white pepper has reached $ 12,300/ton.
In Brazil, ASTA 570 black pepper is trading at around $ 6,900/ton.
Meanwhile, in Vietnam, export black pepper prices have decreased across the board, with the 500 g/l variety trading at $ 7,000/ton and the 550 g/l variety at $ 7,200/ton. Similarly, the export price of white pepper is currently at $ 10,000/ton.
Today, global pepper prices have increased slightly in Indonesia but remained stable in other major producing countries.
This amounted to a value of $137.8 million, reflecting a 43.6% increase in volume and an 80.6% increase in value compared to 2023.
Germany also imported pepper from 51 non-EU markets in 2024, with Vietnam being the largest supplier, accounting for 63.2% by volume and 60.8% by value. This represents an increase from the 53.6% in volume and 49.9% in value in 2023.

In the domestic market, pepper prices continued to rise on March 14 compared to yesterday.
Specifically, in Dak Lak, prices have reached VND 161,000/kg, an increase of VND 500.
In Dak Nong, prices have remained steady at VND 161,000/kg.
In Gia Lai, prices have increased slightly by VND 500, reaching VND 159,000/kg.
Traders in Dong Nai are still buying pepper at VND 160,000/kg, an increase of VND 1,000.
Prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau have also increased by VND 1,000, reaching VND 160,000/kg.
Similarly, traders in Binh Phuoc have been transacting at VND 160,000/kg.
Thus, the domestic pepper prices on March 14, 2025, are trading around VND 159,000 - 161,000/kg.
