Pepper prices on May 16 globally

Globally, pepper prices on May 16 increased only in Indonesia.

Accordingly, the price of black pepper Lampung in Indonesia rose by 0.19% to $7,252/ton. Meanwhile, the price of white pepper Muntok increased by 0.2% to $9,983/ton.

The price of black pepper Kuching ASTA in Malaysia was $9,200/ton, while white pepper ASTA from this country remained at $11,900/ton.

In the Brazilian market, black pepper ASTA 570 was traded at $ 6,800/ton.

In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper (500 g/l) was $6,700/ton, and the 550 g/l type was $6,800/ton. Meanwhile, the export price of white pepper remained at $9,700/ton.

Thus, global pepper prices today slightly increased in Indonesia but remained flat in other countries.

Pepper prices on May 16 domestically

Domestically, pepper prices on May 16 fluctuated slightly compared to the previous session.

Specifically, Dak Lak is trading pepper at VND 152,000/kg today, up by VND 1,000.

Similarly, the price of pepper in Dak Nong rose to VND 152,000/kg today.

Pepper prices in Gia Lai remain unchanged, and they are still trading at VND 151,000/kg.

Traders in Dong Nai are buying pepper at VND 152,000/kg, down by VND 1,000.

Pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau also fell by VND 1,000, down to VND 152,000/kg.

Traders in Binh Phuoc are transacting at VND 151,000/kg, down by VND 500.

Pepper prices today in the domestic market fluctuated slightly by VND 500 - 1,000, so this agricultural product still maintained the threshold of VND 152,000/kg.

Thus, pepper prices in the domestic market today, May 16, 2025, are trading around VND 151,000 – 152,000/kg.
