(VAN) Pepper prices on May 16, 2025, fluctuated by VND 500–1,000 domestically, trading at VND 151,000 – 152,000/kg. Global pepper prices remained stable.

Pepper prices on May 16 globally

Globally, pepper prices on May 16 increased only in Indonesia.

Accordingly, the price of black pepper Lampung in Indonesia rose by 0.19% to $7,252/ton. Meanwhile, the price of white pepper Muntok increased by 0.2% to $9,983/ton.

The price of black pepper Kuching ASTA in Malaysia was $9,200/ton, while white pepper ASTA from this country remained at $11,900/ton.

In the Brazilian market, black pepper ASTA 570 was traded at $ 6,800/ton.

In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper (500 g/l) was $6,700/ton, and the 550 g/l type was $6,800/ton. Meanwhile, the export price of white pepper remained at $9,700/ton.

Thus, global pepper prices today slightly increased in Indonesia but remained flat in other countries.

Traders in Binh Phuoc are transacting at VND 151,000/kg, down by VND 500.

Pepper prices today in the domestic market fluctuated slightly by VND 500 - 1,000, so this agricultural product still maintained the threshold of VND 152,000/kg.
