Live pig prices in the North as of January 12, 2025, are stable compared to yesterday. The live pig prices in the northern region increased by up to VND 3,000 this week.
Specifically, traders in Hung Yen, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc, and Tuyen Quang are trading at VND 70,000/kg, after an increase of VND 2,000.
This is also the price at which pigs are purchased in Hanoi, Vinh Phuc, and Hai Duong after increasing from VND 1,000 - 3,000.
Except for Bac Giang, Lao Cai, and Nam Dinh, which are stable, the remaining localities increased by VND 1,000.
Thus, as of January 12, 2025, live pig prices in the northern region are trading at VND 68,000 - 70,000/kg.
The market for live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands regions is stable compared to yesterday. This week, prices here continue to rise.
Specifically, after increasing by VND 2,000, traders in Ninh Thuan are buying pigs at VND 68,000/kg.
Following a VND 1,000 increase, Thanh Hoa has raised its live pig prices to VND 69,000/kg, matching the price in Lam Dong, making them the two highest-priced areas in the region.
With the same VND 1,000 increase, the provinces of Quang Tri, Hue, Quang Nam, and Khanh Hoa have raised prices to VND 67,000/kg.
Other provinces remain stable compared to last week.
Thus, as of January 12, 2025, live pig prices in the central and Central Highlands regions are trading around VND 67,000 - 69,000/kg.
The live pig market in the South remains stable compared to yesterday. This week, the prices in the south have also increased slightly.
In particular, traders in Kien Giang have increased their purchasing price by VND 2,000, bringing it to VND 69,000/kg, the highest in the region.
After a VND 1,000 increase, live pig prices in Long An, Dong Thap, Can Tho, Ca Mau, and Ben Tre are all trading at VND 68,000/kg.
Similarly, provinces such as An Giang, Bac Lieu, and Soc Trang have raised their prices to VND 67,000/kg.
Other regions have maintained their prices from last week.
Thus, on January 12, 2025, live pig prices in the southern region are trading between VND 66,000 and VND 69,000/kg.
