Latest Arabica and Robusta Prices on November 18, 2024
Global coffee prices remain stable today. Summarizing last week, the coffee market experienced a strong surge, with Robusta futures for January 2025 skyrocketing by $ 401/ton, while Arabica futures for December rose sharply by 28.45 cents/lb.
According to experts, Robusta coffee is recovering and growing. Vietnam's new harvest is currently being collected, and this crop is expected to hit the market in the first half of 2025. Meanwhile, new Robusta harvests from Indonesia, Brazil, and Uganda are anticipated in the second half of 2025. This remains a driving force supporting coffee prices.
However, experts noted that speculative buying on both exchanges is high. Coffee prices this week will largely depend on the movement of the USD. Notably, despite the continuous increase in the USD last week, it did not suppress coffee prices but instead spurred them to rise by as much as $ 400/ton.
Thus, global coffee prices on November 18, 2024, show no changes compared to yesterday.
