Global coffee prices today showed no new fluctuations. Summarizing the week, the coffee market experienced a sharp increase.

Robusta prices for January 2025 delivery surged by $ 401/ton, while Arabica prices for December 2024 delivery rose by 28.45 cents/lb.

Arabica coffee prices have fluctuated around the highest levels since mid-2011, marking a 13-year peak amid concerns over future supply. Traders are assessing the impact of the European Union's one-year delay in enforcing anti-deforestation regulations.

This delay could restrict coffee supplies from countries like Brazil and Indonesia, where deforestation issues persist.

The focus remains on unfavourable weather conditions affecting next year’s crop in Brazil, the world’s top producer. Traders noted that despite recent rainfall, soil moisture levels remain low, leading to limited fruit development and excessive leaf growth.

Thus, global coffee prices on November 17, 2024, remained unchanged from yesterday.
