Globally, both the London and New York exchanges remained stable on January 12.
On the London exchange, Robusta prices for March 2025 delivery are anchored at $ 4,966/ton, while the May 2025 contract holds steady at $ 4,879/ton.
Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, Arabica prices for March 2025 delivery are at 323.85 cents/lb, with the May 2025 contract remaining unchanged at 319.80 cents/lb.
Latest Arabica and Robusta Prices on January 12, 2025
Specifically, Robusta coffee prices for the March 2025 contract fell by $2/ton, while Arabica prices for the March 2025 contract surged by 5.2 cents/lb.
Below-average rainfall in Brazil has supported Arabica's rally this week.
Certified Arabica inventory that has passed classification and is held on the New York exchange reportedly decreased by 415 bags last week, standing at 980,543 bags.
Experts at the Vietnam Coffee Forum suggest that, technically, Arabica prices are currently constrained within a reaction range of 328–329 cents/lb, with support levels around 315 cents.
Meanwhile, Robusta prices are assessed as unlikely to significantly rise or fall compared to the current range of $4,989/ton, at least until next week.
Technically, Robusta has yet to show a clear trend, with the market appearing to be in a sideways phase.
Thus, global coffee prices on January 12, 2025, remained stable compared to the previous day.
In the domestic market, coffee prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday.
Specifically, in Lam Dong province, the three districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha are trading at the same price of VND 118,300/kg.
In Dak Lak province, Cu M’gar district is buying coffee at VND 119,100/kg, while Ea H’leo and Buon Ho districts are trading at VND 119,000/kg.
In Dak Nong province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R’lap districts are purchasing at VND 119,100/kg and VND 119,000/kg, respectively.
In Gia Lai province, Chu Prong district is trading at VND 118,900/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai districts are holding steady at VND 118,800/kg.
Meanwhile, coffee purchasing prices in Kon Tum province are at VND 118,900/kg today.
Domestic coffee prices today remained stable, with the highest level at VND 119,100/kg. Summing up this week, the domestic coffee market reversed sharply, dropping by VND 1,400–1,500.
Thus, domestic coffee prices on January 12, 2025, are trading around VND 118,300–119,100/kg.
