Agroforestry commodities’ price, August 27: Rice and coffee rise but pepper suddenly goes down

Forestry and agricultural commodity prices today, August 27, keep unchanged in the world pepper, but increase slightly in the world coffee market and decrease in the world rubber market.

Coffee prices

In the world market, coffee prices today, August 27, continue to increase slightly in two large exchanges.

After the latest session, the Robusta coffee futures price in ICE Futures Europe (London) exchange for September 2021 contracts is up by US$ 21 per ton at US$ 1,987 per ton and up by US$ 21 per ton at US$ 1,994 per ton for November 2021 contracts.

Likewise, the Arabica coffee futures price in ICE Futures US (New York) for September 2021 contracts is up by Cent 1.6 per pound at Cent 185.65 per pound and up by Cent 1.65 per pound at Cent 188.0 per pound for December 2021 contracts.

In the domestic market, coffee prices today, August 27, continue to increase by VND 400 per kilogram in most key provinces.

Specifically, coffee prices today in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts of Lam Dong province is VND 39,000 per kilogram, increasing by VND 400.

In Dak Lak province, coffee prices are VND 39,800-39,900 per kilogram, increasing by VND 400.

In Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces, coffee is purchased at VND 39,700-39,800 per kilogram, increasing by VND 400.

Pepper prices

In the world market, pepper prices today, August 27, at Kochi exchange (India), keep unchanged compared to the latest session, at INR 41,300 per quintal.

The cross rate of Vietnam Dong to Indian Rupee (INR) from August 19 to August 27, 2021, applied by the State Bank for export and import tax calculation, is VND 311.47/INR.

In the domestic market, pepper prices turn to decrease in key provinces, ranging from VND 75,500-79,000 per kilogram.

Specifically, the pepper price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is at VND 76,500 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 500.

In Dong Nai and Gia Lai provinces, the pepper price is VND 75,500 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 500.

The pepper price in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province keeps at the highest of VND 79,000.

The pepper price in Binh Phuoc province is VND 77,500 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 500.

Rubber prices

In the world market, rubber prices decrease in exchanges compared to the latest session.

In Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts is JPY 203.1 per kilogram, down by JPY 2.8 at JPY 203.4 per kilogram for September 2021 contracts, and down by JPY 2.8 at JPY 207.2 per kilogram for October 2021 contracts.

In Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts is CNY 13,250 per ton, down by CNY 415 at CNY 12,920 per ton for September 2021 contracts, and down by CNY 445 at CNY 12,965 per ton for October 2021 contracts.

In the domestic, rubber prices are stable compared to yesterday.

Fresh rubber latex prices in Binh Phuoc province range from VND 320-327 per TSC-DRC.

Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company, Binh Phuoc province, publishes the fresh rubber latex price at VND 325 per TSC-DRC.

In Dak Lak province, the rubber latex price is VND 16,000-18,000 per kilogram, depending on the type.

Rice prices

According to the General Department of Customs, in the first 7 months of 2021, Vietnam imported 2.8 million tonnes of fertilizers of all kinds, equivalent to US$ 802.7 million. The average price of imported fertilizer is US$ 284 per tonne.

Fertilizer prices are currently increasing rapidly, including an increase of 80% compared to January 2021. However, with rice prices as low as this year's summer-autumn crop, farmers are hardly profitable.

In An Giang province, rice prices today, August 27, increase in some types compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the sticky paddy price is VND 4,300-4,400 per kilogram, increasing by VND 200.

The fresh Japanese paddy price is VND 7,500-7,600 per kilogram.

The fresh 8 fragrant paddy is VND 5,500-5,800 per kilogram.
