(VAN) Pepper prices on April 16, 2025, saw little fluctuation. Domestic pepper prices rose by as much as VND 1,500, trading around VND 155,500–158,000/kg.

Pepper prices on April 16 globally

Globally, the latest pepper prices on April 16 showed only slight declines in Indonesia.

Accordingly, the price of black pepper (Lampung) in Indonesia dropped by 0.24%, to $ 7,064/ton. Meanwhile, the price of white pepper (Muntok) decreased by 0.25%, to $ 9,651/ton.

In Malaysia, the price of Kuching ASTA black pepper was $ 9,600/ton, while white pepper ASTA held steady at $ 12,100/ton.

In the Brazilian market, black pepper ASTA 570 was traded at around $ 6,850/ton.

In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper grade 500 g/l was at $ 6,600/ton, while grade 550 g/l stood at $ 6,800/ton. Meanwhile, the export price of white pepper was at $ 9,600/ton.

Traders in Dong Nai purchased pepper at VND 156,000/kg, up by VND 1,000.

Traders in Binh Phuoc traded at VND 155,500/kg, up by VND 1,500.

Domestic pepper prices rose sharply today by VND 1,000–1,500, pushing this agricultural product to VND 158,000/kg.
