Agroforestry commodities’ price, August 26: Rubber, pepper are unchanged, but coffee continues to rise

(VAN) August 26, 2021, coffee prices continue to increase slightly by VND 200-300 per kilogram. Meanwhile, there are no changes in the rubber and pepper market.

Coffee prices

In the world market, coffee prices today, August 26, simultaneously increase slightly in two large exchanges.

After the latest session, the Robusta coffee futures price in ICE Futures Europe (London) exchange for September 2021 contracts is up by US$ 2 per ton at US$ 1,966 per ton and up by US$ 2 per ton at US$ 1,973 per ton for November 2021 contracts.

Likewise, the Arabica coffee futures price in ICE Futures US (New York) for September 2021 contracts is up by Cent 0.75 per pound at Cent 184.05 per pound and up by Cent 0.6 per pound at Cent 186.35 per pound for December 2021 contracts.

In the domestic market, coffee prices today, August 26, continue to increase by VND 200-300 per kilogram in most key provinces.

Specifically, coffee prices today in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts of Lam Dong province is VND 38,600 per kilogram, increasing by VND 300.

In Dak Lak province, coffee prices are VND 39,400-39,500 per kilogram, increasing by VND 300.

In Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces, coffee is purchased at VND 39,300-39,400 per kilogram, increasing by VND 300.

In the world market, pepper prices today, August 26, at Kochi exchange (India), keep unchanged compared to the latest session, at INR 41,300 per quintal.

The cross rate of Vietnam Dong to Indian Rupee (INR) from August 19 to August 26, 2021, applied by the State Bank for export and import tax calculation, is VND 311.47/INR.

In the domestic market, pepper prices keep stable in key provinces, ranging from VND 76,000-79,000 per kilogram.

Specifically, the pepper price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is at VND 77,000 per kilogram.

In Dong Nai and Gia Lai provinces, the pepper price is VND 76,000 per kilogram.

The pepper price in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province keeps at the highest of VND 79,500.

The pepper price in Binh Phuoc province is VND 78,000 per kilogram.

In the world market, rubber prices change less in exchanges compared to the latest session.

In Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts is up by JPY 0.1 at JPY 203.1 per kilogram, down by JPY 0.1 at JPY 206.2 per kilogram for September 2021 contracts, and up by JPY 0.6 at JPY 210.0 per kilogram for October 2021 contracts.

In Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts is CNY 13,250 per ton, up by CNY 15 at CNY 13,425 per ton for September 2021 contracts, and up by CNY 10 at CNY 13,455 per ton for October 2021 contracts.

In the domestic, rubber prices are stable compared to yesterday.

Fresh rubber latex prices in Binh Phuoc province range from VND 310-315 per TSC-DRC.

Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company, Binh Phuoc province, publishes the fresh rubber latex price at VND 325 per TSC-DRC.

In Dak Lak province, the rubber latex price is VND 16,000-18,000 per kilogram, depending on the type.

Rice prices

As of August 25, the Mekong Delta provinces have harvested 80% of the summer-autumn rice production.

According to the General Department of Customs, in the first 7 months of 2021, Vietnam imported 2.8 million tonnes of fertilizers of all kinds, equivalent to US$ 802.7 million. The average price of imported fertilizer is US$ 284 per tonne.

Fertilizer prices are currently increasing rapidly, including an increase of 80% compared to January 2021. However, with rice prices as low as this year's summer-autumn crop, farmers are hardly profitable.

In An Giang province, rice prices today, August 26, are adjusted oppositely in some types compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the sticky paddy price is VND 4,100-4,300 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 200.

The OM 5451 paddy price is VND 5,000-5,200 per kilogram.

The fresh OM 18 paddy price is VND 5,500-5,800 VND per kilogram.

The fresh IR 50404 paddy price is VND 4,700-5,000 VND per kilogram, a VND 200-300 increase.

The fresh OM 9582 paddy price is VND 4,700-4,900 per kilogram, increasing by VND 100.

The fresh OM 6976 paddy price is VND 5,000-5,200 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 100.

The fresh Japanese paddy price is VND 7,500-7,600 per kilogram.

The fresh 8 fragrant paddy is VND 5,500-5,800 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 200.

In summary, domestic forestry and agricultural commodity prices today, August 26, increase in the coffee market, change oppositely in the rice market, and move sideways in the pepper and rubber market.
