In the world market, coffee prices today, August 23, keep unchanged in two large exchanges.
After the latest session, the Robusta coffee futures price in ICE Futures Europe (London) exchange for September 2021 contracts is up by US$ 19 per ton at US$ 1,862 per ton and up by US$ 19 per ton at US$ 1,882 per ton for November 2021 contracts.
Likewise, the Arabica coffee futures price in ICE Futures US (New York) for September 2021 contracts is up by Cent 0.05 per pound at Cent 178.25 per pound and up by Cent 0.2 per pound at Cent 181.5 per pound for December 2021 contracts.
In the domestic market, coffee prices today, August 23, move sideways in most key provinces.
Specifically, coffee prices today in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts of Lam Dong province is VND 37,400 per kilogram.
In Dak Lak province, coffee prices are VND 38,200-38,300 per kilogram.
In Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces, coffee is purchased at VND 38,100-38,200 per kilogram.
In the world market, pepper prices today, August 23, at Kochi exchange (India), keep unchanged compared to the latest session, at INR 41,300 per quintal.
The cross rate of Vietnam Dong to Indian Rupee (INR) from August 19 to August 25, 2021, applied by the State Bank for export and import tax calculation, is VND 311.47/INR.
From the beginning of August 2021, the pepper demand from China, the US, the EU, and Middle East countries tends to increase. Although sea freight rates continue to increase, especially to the US, the demand from this market is still high for spot orders and order demand for 2022.
In the domestic market, pepper prices keep stable in key provinces, ranging from VND 76,500-79,500 per kilogram.
Specifically, the pepper price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is at VND 77,500 per kilogram.
In Dong Nai and Gia Lai provinces, the pepper price is VND 76,500 per kilogram.
The pepper price in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province keeps at the highest of VND 79,500, followed by the price at Binh Phuoc at VND 78,500 per kilogram.
In the world market, rubber prices decrease sharply in exchanges compared to the latest session.
In Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the futures rubber price for August 2321 contracts is down by JPY 12.5 at JPY 201.0 per kilogram, down by JPY 11.7 at JPY 204.4 per kilogram for September 2021 contracts, and down by JPY 12.8 at JPY 206.7 per kilogram for October 2021 contracts.
In Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the futures rubber price for August 2321 contracts is down by CNY 40 at CNY 13,250 per ton, down by CNY 45 at CNY 13,320 per ton for September 2021 contracts, and down by CNY 60 at CNY 13,345 per ton for October 2021 contracts.
Global rubber supply is affected by the shortage of shipping containers. In addition, China's increase in reserves and the wave of infection with the Delta variant of the Covid-19 also impact the rubber transport to the market.
In the domestic, rubber prices are stable compared to yesterday.
Fresh rubber latex prices in Binh Phuoc province range from VND 310-315 per TSC-DRC.
Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company, Binh Phuoc province, publishes the fresh rubber latex price at VND 325 per TSC-DRC.
In Dak Lak province, the rubber latex price is VND 16,000-18,000 per kilogram, depending on the type.
Recent rice prices in the Mekong Delta provinces have been pretty stable. However, the trading market is still not as active as in previous years.

According to Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam, the prevention of the Covid-19 is a top task. Many localities have established a "green zone". Currently, some provinces are facing difficulties in rice consumption. In case of needing support, the locality can contact the Working Group.
