On the global market, both the London and New York exchanges continued their strong upward trend on April 16, 2025.
Specifically, Robusta prices on the London exchange for May 2025 delivery rose by $ 110 (equivalent to 2.09%), reaching $ 5,373/ton. The July 2025 contract increased by $ 101 (equivalent to 1.93%) to $ 5,340/ton.
Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, Arabica prices for May 2025 delivery surged by 9 cents (equivalent to 2.5%) to 369.40 cents/lb. The July 2025 contract rose by 8.65 cents (equivalent to 2.41%) to 367.15 cents/lb.

Global coffee prices increased sharply by over 2% today. This marks the sixth consecutive session of gains since U.S. President Donald Trump announced on April 9 a 90-day postponement of reciprocal tariffs while maintaining the current 10% rate.
As tariff concerns have temporarily eased, investor focus has shifted back to tightening supply conditions. The market has also been buoyed by a weakening U.S. dollar index, which fell to its lowest level in three years.
Thus, global coffee prices on April 16, 2025, remain on the rise compared to the previous day.
In the domestic market, coffee prices surged sharply today compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices in Vietnam today, April 16, 2025, continued to rise sharply.
Specifically, in Lam Dong Province, the districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha are all trading at the same price of VND 131,300/kg.
In Dak Lak Province, Cu M'gar District is currently purchasing coffee at VND 132,200/kg. Meanwhile, Ea H'leo and Buon Ho districts are trading at VND 132,100/kg.
In Dak Nong Province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap are trading at VND 132,200/kg and VND 132,100/kg, respectively.
In Gia Lai Province, Chu Prong District is trading at VND 132,000/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai are holding at VND 131,900/kg.
Meanwhile, the purchasing price for coffee in Kon Tum today is VND 131,900/kg.
Domestic coffee prices surged sharply today, rising by as much as VND 5,200, pushing this agricultural product past the VND 132,000/kg threshold.
Thus, domestic coffee prices on April 16, 2025, are being traded in the range of VND 131,300–132,200/kg.
