Coffee prices on April 10 globally

On April 10, 2025, global coffee prices experienced notable fluctuations, with a rebound following positive news from the U.S. government. On the ICE Futures London exchange, Robusta coffee prices rose by $ 51/ton, closing at $ 4,873/ton for the May 2025 contract, while the July 2025 contract saw a slight increase of $ 3/ton, reaching $ 4,797/ton.

In contrast, Arabica coffee prices on the New York exchange also recorded a significant recovery. The May 2025 contract rose by 10.1 cents/lb, reaching 353 cents/lb, while the July 2025 contract increased by 10.2 cents/lb, to 351.55 cents/lb.

The main reason behind this price increase came from U.S. President Donald Trump's announcement of a 90-day postponement of retaliatory tariffs. This sparked a positive wave in the coffee market, encouraging investors to return to trading.

Coffee price outlook

According to experts, global coffee prices are under pressure from various factors, including the state of global trade and shifts in U.S. tariff policy. If the U.S. imposes high tariffs on goods imported from Vietnam, it will significantly impact the competitiveness of Vietnamese coffee in the international market.
