Forestry and agricultural commodity prices today, August 15, move sideways in the world coffee, rubber and pepper market compared to yesterday.
In the world market, coffee prices today, August 15, are unchanged in two large exchanges.
After the latest session, the Robusta coffee futures price in ICE Futures Europe (London) exchange for September 2021 contracts is down by US$ 21 per ton at US$ 1,828 per ton and down by US$ 18 per ton at US$ 1,836 per ton for November 2021 contracts.
Likewise, the Arabica coffee futures price in ICE Futures US (New York) for September 2021 contracts is down by Cent 3.3 per pound at Cent 183.25 per pound and down by Cent 3.4 per pound at Cent 186.2 per pound for December 2021 contracts.
As a result, for this week, the Robusta coffee price in the London exchange delivered in September 2021 has increased by US$ 85 per ton and US$ 82 per ton for November delivery. The Arabica coffee price delivered in September 2021 has increased by Cent 7.25 per pound and Cent 7.15 per pound for December delivery.
In the domestic market, coffee prices today, August 15, continue to decrease by VND 100 in most key provinces compared to yesterday morning, in the range of VND 36,500-37,400 per kilogram. Compared to last weekend, coffee prices have increased by VND 900 per kilogram.
Specifically, coffee prices today in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts of Lam Dong province are the same at VND 36,500 per kilogram, a VND 100 decrease.
In Dak Lak province, coffee prices are VND 37,300-37,400 per kilogram.
In Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces, coffee is purchased at VND 37,200-37,300 per kilogram.
In the world market, pepper prices today, August 15, at Kochi exchange (India), move sideways compared to the latest session, at INR 41,300 per quintal.
In the domestic market, pepper prices decrease by VND 500 in key provinces, ranging from VND 76,000-79,000 per kilogram.
Specifically, the pepper price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is at VND 77,500, a VND 500 decrease.
In Dong Nai province, the pepper price is VND 76,000 per kilogram, a VND 500 decrease.
The pepper price in Gia Lai province is VND 77,500 per kilogram, a VND 500 decrease.
The pepper price in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province keeps at the highest of VND 79,000, followed by the price at Binh Phuoc at VND 78,000 per kilogram, after a VND 500 decrease.
In the world market, rubber prices this weekend are unchanged in exchanges compared to the latest session.
In Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts is JPY 210.9 per kilogram, JPY 214.7 per kilogram for September 2021 contracts, and JPY 217.3 per kilogram for October 2021 contracts.
In Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts is CNY 13,430 per ton, CNY 13,615 per ton for September 2021 contracts, and CNY 13,700 per ton for October 2021 contracts.
Rubber prices have increased recently because of the Covid-19 pandemic in Southeast Asia. It is expected to recover demand in the US and Europe, where blockade measures are eased. However, worries about a slowing recovery in China have capped this.
In the domestic, rubber prices are stable compared to yesterday.
Fresh rubber latex prices in Binh Phuoc province range from VND 310-335 per TSC-DRC.
Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company, Binh Phuoc province, publishes the fresh rubber latex price at VND 325 per TSC-DRC.
In Dak Lak province, the rubber latex price is VND 16,000-18,000 per kilogram, depending on the type.
Deputy Tran Thanh Nam, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, said that countries still have demands to import rice from Vietnam. Covid-19 is the reason why countries want to increase their rice stocks.
