Coffee prices

In the world market, coffee prices today, August 14, decrease in two large exchanges.

After the latest session, the Robusta coffee futures price in ICE Futures Europe (London) exchange for September 2021 contracts is down by US$ 21 per ton at US$ 1,828 per ton and down by US$ 18 per ton at US$ 1,836 per ton for November 2021 contracts.

Likewise, the Arabica coffee futures price in ICE Futures US (New York) for September 2021 contracts is down by Cent 3.3 per pound at Cent 183.25 per pound and down by Cent 3.4 per pound at Cent 186.2 per pound for December 2021 contracts.

In the domestic market, coffee prices today, August 14, continue to decrease by VND 200-300 in most key provinces compared to yesterday morning, in the range of VND 36,600-37,500 per kilogram.

Specifically, coffee prices today in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts of Lam Dong province are the same at VND 36,600 per kilogram, a VND 100 decrease.

In Dak Lak province, coffee prices are VND 37,400-37,500 per kilogram, a VND 200 decrease.

In Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces, coffee is purchased at VND 37,300-37,400 per kilogram.

Pepper prices

In the world market, pepper prices today, August 14, at Kochi exchange (India), move sideways compared to the latest session, at INR 41,300 per quintal.

In the domestic market, pepper prices keep stable, ranging from VND 76,500-79,500 per kilogram.

Specifically, the pepper price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is at VND 78,000 per kilogram.

In Dong Nai province, the pepper price is VND 76,500 per kilogram.

The pepper price in Gia Lai province is VND 78,000 per kilogram.

The pepper price in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province keeps at the highest of VND 79,500, followed by the price at Binh Phuoc at VND 78,500 per kilogram.

In the domestic market, pepper prices keep stable, ranging from VND 76,500-79,500 per kilogram.

In Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts is down by JPY 0.1 at JPY 210.9 per kilogram, up by JPY 2 at JPY 214.7 per kilogram for September 2021 contracts, and up by JPY 3 at JPY 217.3 per kilogram for October 2021 contracts.

In Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts are down by CNY 250 at CNY 13,430 per ton, up by CNY 90 at CNY 13,615 per ton for September 2021 contracts, and up by CNY 90 at CNY 13,700 per ton for October 2021 contracts.

According to the Malaysian Rubber Products Manufacturers Association (MRPMA), the Covid-19 pandemic has caused an unprecedented crisis in the rubber sector.

Covid-19 caused an annual production decline for rubber products, including auto parts, tires, and tire-related products. It could even be doubled if the resumption of production is delayed any further.

In the domestic, rubber prices are stable compared to yesterday.

Fresh rubber latex prices in Binh Phuoc province range from VND 310-335 per TSC-DRC.

Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company, Binh Phuoc province, publishes the fresh rubber latex price at VND 325 per TSC-DRC.

In Dak Lak province, the rubber latex price is VND 16,000-18,000 per kilogram, depending on the type.

Meanwhile, enterprises currently have high inventories and cannot export despite a large number of orders.
