Coffee prices

In the world market, coffee prices today, August 12, continue to increase in two large exchanges.

After the latest session, the Robusta coffee futures price in ICE Futures Europe (London) exchange for September 2021 contracts is up by US$ 1 per ton at US$ 1,859 per ton and up by US$ 1 per ton at US$ 1,864 per ton for November 2021 contracts.

Likewise, the Arabica coffee futures price in ICE Futures US (New York) for September 2021 contracts is up by Cent 1.85 per pound at Cent 183.85 per pound and up by Cent 1.9 per pound at Cent 187.0 per pound for December 2021 contracts.

In the domestic market, coffee prices today, August 12, keep increasing by VND 100 in most key provinces compared to yesterday morning, in the range of VND 36,900-37,800 per kilogram.

Specifically, coffee prices today in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts of Lam Dong province are the same at VND 36,900 per kilogram, a VND 100 increase.

In Dak Lak province, coffee prices are up to VND 37,700-37,800 per kilogram, a VND 100 increase.

In Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces, coffee is purchased at VND 37,600-37,700 per kilogram.

Pepper prices

In the world market, pepper prices today, August 12, at Kochi exchange (India), continue to decrease by INR 33.35 compared to the latest session, at INR 41,300 per quintal.

In the domestic market, pepper prices keep increasing by VND 500 in some provinces, ranging from VND 76,500-79,000.

Specifically, the pepper price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is at VND 78,000.

In Dong Nai province, the pepper price is VND 76,500 per kilogram.

The pepper price in Gia Lai province is VND 77,000 per kilogram, a VND 500 increase.

The pepper price in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province keeps at the highest of VND 79,000, followed by the price at Binh Phuoc at VND 78,000 per kilogram, after a VND 500 increase.

Not only Vietnam, but the white pepper prices in the world market have also increased sharply from 30% to 39% since the beginning of the year. Likewise, the price of Indonesian black pepper increased by 25.7%, Indian black pepper increased by 17.5%, Malaysian black pepper increased by 35.6%, especially Brazilian black pepper increased by 42.9%.

Rubber prices

In the world market, rubber prices change oppositely in exchanges compared to the latest session.

In Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts is up by JPY 1.3 at JPY 211.3 per kilogram, up by JPY 0.3 at JPY 214.2 per kilogram for September 2021 contracts, and up by JPY 0.3 at JPY 217.5 per kilogram for October 2021 contracts.

In contrast, in Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the futures rubber price for August 2021 contracts are down by CNY 75 at CNY 13,500 per ton, but up by CNY 40 at CNY 13,615 per ton for September 2021 contracts, and up by CNY 30 at CNY 13,710 per ton for October 2021 contracts.

The Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) forecasts that natural rubber prices will increase in the short term thanks to improved demand from China, India, the US, and Europe.

In the domestic, rubber prices are stable compared to yesterday.

Fresh rubber latex prices in Binh Phuoc province range from VND 310-335 per TSC-DRC.

Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company, Binh Phuoc province, publishes the fresh rubber latex price at VND 325 per TSC-DRC.

In Dak Lak province, the rubber latex price is VND 16,000-18,000 per kilogram, depending on the type.

Rice prices

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said it would propose to the Government to purchase and reserve rice with an estimated output of 4 million tonnes of paddy, equivalent to 2 million tonnes of rice. The purpose is to solve farmers' rice consumption needs and ensure national food security in the context of complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic.

In An Giang province, rice prices today, August 12, move sideways compared to yesterday. But in comparison with last week, the prices have increased significantly.

Specifically, the sticky paddy price is VND 4,200-4,350 per kilogram.

The fresh OM 18 paddy price is VND 5,800-6,000 VND per kilogram

The fresh IR 50404 paddy price is VND 4,400-4,800 VND per kilogram.

The fresh OM 9582 paddy price is VND 4,600-4,900 per kilogram.

The fresh OM 6976 paddy price is VND 5,100-5,200 per kilogram.

The fresh Japanese paddy price is VND 7,500-7,600 per kilogram.

The fresh 8 fragrant paddy is VND 5,900-6,100 per kilogram.

In summary, forestry and agricultural commodity prices today, August 12, are stable in the domestic rice and rubber market, and increase in the domestic coffee and pepper market.
