Rice prices on December 18 domestically

The rice market on December 18 is showing a slight upward trend in rice prices while remaining unchanged for paddy.

Paddy prices today (December 18) are holding steady. In many regions, paddy trading is sluggish, and demand is slow, with prices showing signs of reversing.

In Dong Thap, farmers are selling early spring paddy in a scattered manner, with sluggish trading.

  • Broken rice IR 4625 (fresh) is priced between VND 8,100 - 8,200/kg; fresh Nep 3 months is priced between VND 8,100 - 8,300/kg.
  • IR 50404 paddy is priced around VND 7,600 - 7,800/kg; Dai Tho 8 paddy remains at VND 9,100 - 9,200/kg.
  • OM 5451 paddy is being traded at VND 8,600 - 8,800/kg; OM 18 paddy is priced at VND 9,000 - 9,100/kg.
  • OM 380 paddy holds around VND 7,200/kg; Japanese paddy remains at VND 7,800 - 8,000/kg.
  • Nang Nhen (dried) paddy trades at VND 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa 9 is priced between VND 9,200 - 9,400/kg.

Meanwhile, rice prices today (December 18) are showing a slight upward trend, with limited volume, and fragrant rice is slightly up while rice purchases remain slow.

In the Sa Dec market, in An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), rice arrives in small quantities, with limited quality rice, and fragrant rice is slightly up.

  • Raw IR 504 Summer Autumn rice is priced between VND 9,700 - 9,900/kg (up by VND 100); IR 504 finished rice is priced at VND 12,000 - 12,200/kg.
  • Sticky rice is priced at VND 18,000 - 22,000/kg; regular rice is priced at VND 17,000 - 18,000/kg; Nang Nhen rice is priced at VND 28,000/kg.
  • Long-grain Thai fragrant rice is priced at VND 20,000 - 22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice is priced at VND 17,000 - 18,000/kg; Huong Lai rice remains at VND 22,000/kg.
  • Common white rice is bought at VND 17,500/kg; Nang Hoa rice is priced at VND 21,500/kg; regular Soc rice is maintained at VND 18,500/kg; while Soc Thai rice is priced at VND 21,000/kg.
  • Taiwanese fragrant rice is priced at VND 21,000/kg; while Japanese rice remains at VND 22,500/kg.
  • Rice bran (OM 5451) is priced at VND 8,700 - 8,800/kg (down by VND 100), and dried bran is priced at VND 5,700 - 5,800/kg.

On the export market, the price of 100% broken rice is at $ 405/ton; standard 5% broken rice is being purchased at $ 509/ton. Meanwhile, the price of 25% broken rice stands at $ 477/ton.

Thus, the price of rice and paddy on December 18, 2024, has not changed significantly compared to yesterday.
