Accordingly, black pepper Lampung in Indonesia is steady at $ 7,298/ton, while white pepper Muntok is priced at $ 10,143/ton.

In Malaysia, black pepper Kuching ASTA is trading at $ 9,000/ton, and white pepper ASTA is priced at $ 11,600/ton.

In Brazil, black pepper ASTA 570 is being traded at $ 6,800/ton.

Meanwhile, in Vietnam, export black pepper prices have declined, with the 500 g/l variety trading at $ 6,500/ton and the 550 g/l variety at $ 6,650/ton. Similarly, export white pepper is now priced at $ 9,550/ton.

Global pepper prices today remain unchanged.

According to Mr. Yii, domestic pepper prices in Malaysia have increased by about 10% since the beginning of the year, following strong growth in 2024.

"Pepper prices have been rising slowly but steadily since January, which is a positive sign that prices will remain high this year. Experienced traders and farmers are holding onto their stocks as if they were gold, waiting to sell at higher prices", he said.
