Forecasts for the next 3-5 years indicate that global pepper production will not be enough to meet consumption demand. Agricultural experts also agree that pepper has entered a new cycle of price increases.

Currently, Vietnam is one of the top three spice producers and exporters in the world. According to statistics, there are 35 pepper processing factories nationwide that meet ISO, HACCP, BRC, ESA, and ASTA standards, with a processing capacity of about 140,000 tons per year.

Thus, domestic pepper prices on December 24, 2024, are trading around VND 144,000 - 145,000/kg.
