Pepper prices on October 30 globally

Globally, pepper prices continue to decline in Indonesia on October 30.

Specifically, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia dropped by 0.19% to $ 6,668/ton, while Muntok white pepper from the same country decreased by 0.2%, reaching $ 9,128/ton.

The price of Kuching ASTA black pepper from Malaysia remains at $ 8,500/ton, with the country’s ASTA white pepper priced at $ 11,000/ton.

In Brazil, ASTA 570 black pepper is being traded at $ 6,400/ton.

In Vietnam, black pepper for export with a density of 500 g/l is trading at $ 6,500/ton, while the 550 g/l variety is at $ 6,800/ton. Meanwhile, Vietnamese white pepper for export is priced at $ 9,500/ton.

Global pepper prices continue to show a slight decline in Indonesia, while prices in other markets remain steady.

According to the IPC, from 2014 to 2023, China’s pepper cultivation area has shown an increasing trend, rising by 4,812 ha compared to 2014, marking a 26% increase. In 2023, China’s pepper cultivation area is estimated to have grown by 10% compared to 2022, reaching 23,000 ha. The cultivation area for 2024 is projected to remain unchanged.

Thus, global pepper prices on 10/30/2024 saw a slight decrease in Indonesia compared to yesterday.

Pepper prices on October 30 domestically

Domestically, pepper prices on October 30 surged significantly compared to yesterday.

In Dak Lak, pepper was purchased at VND 144,500/kg, up by VND 1,500.

Similarly, the price of pepper in Dak Nong reached VND 144,500/kg.

In Gia Lai, pepper traded at VND 143,000/kg, an increase of VND 1,000.

Traders in Dong Nai also purchased pepper at VND 143,000/kg, up by VND 1,000.

In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the price rose by VND 1,000 to VND 144,000/kg.

Traders in Binh Phuoc traded pepper at VND 143,000/kg, also up by VND 1,000.

Thus, on 10/30/2024, domestic pepper prices are trading around VND 143,000 - 144,500/kg.
