Domestic pepper prices today have increased significantly by VND 1,000 to VND 1,500, bringing this agricultural product to a level of VND 146,500/kg.
It is forecasted that global pepper prices will remain high in the short term due to limited supply, which will benefit the Vietnamese pepper industry.
However, the high price of pepper also limits its consumption demand, as consumers tighten their spending. Notably, weak demand from the Chinese market continues to hinder the upward trend of pepper prices.
Thus, on 10/24/2024, domestic pepper prices are trading around 144,500 to VND 146,500/kg.
