Rice prices on November 20 domestically

The domestic rice market on November 20 shows a slight upward trend in several categories.

Rice prices in Dong Thap and Kien Giang remain stable, with an abundant supply of dried rice and steady demand. Specifically:

  • Long An 3-month glutinous rice (dried) is at VND 9,800 - 10,000/kg; Long An IR 4625 glutinous rice (dried) is at VND 9,600 - 9,800/kg.
  • IR 50404 rice is around VND 7,500 - 7,600/kg (up VND 100); Dai Thom 8 rice is at VND 8,200 - 8,400/kg.
  • OM 5451 rice is at VND 7,500 - 7,600/kg; OM 18 rice is at VND 8,400 - 8,600/kg.
  • OM 380 rice is at VND 6,800 - 7,000/kg; Japanese rice is at VND 7,800 - 8,000/kg.
  • Nang Nhen rice (dried) is at VND 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa 9 rice is at VND 8,400 - 8,600/kg.

Similarly, rice prices have also increased slightly in regions such as An Giang and Dong Thap, where supply is slowing down, particularly for aromatic rice varieties.

  • IR 504 Summer-Autumn raw rice is at VND 10,400 - 10,500/kg (up VND 50); finished IR 504 rice is at VND 12,400 - 12,550/kg (up VND 50).
  • Glutinous rice kernel is at VND 18,000 - 22,000/kg; regular rice is at VND 15,000 - 16,000/kg; Nang Nhen rice is at VND 28,000/kg.
  • Thai long-grain aromatic rice is at VND 20,000 - 22,000/kg; Jasmine aromatic rice is at VND 17,000 - 18,000/kg; Huong Lai rice is at VND 22,000/kg.
  • Common white rice is at VND 17,500/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at VND 21,500/kg; Soc rice is at VND 18,000 - 18,500/kg; Soc Thai rice is at VND 21,000/kg.
  • Taiwanese aromatic rice is at VND 21,000/kg; Japanese rice is at VND 22,000/kg.
  • The price of OM 5451 broken rice is VND 9,300 - 9,400/kg (up to VND 100), while dried bran is priced at VND 6,000 - 6,100/kg.

On the export market, the price of 100% broken rice is 423 USD/ton; standard 5% broken rice is being bought at 518 USD/ton. The price of 25% broken rice is at 488 USD/ton.

Thus, the rice prices on November 20, 2024, have slightly increased compared to yesterday.
