Pepper prices on December 30 globally

Globally, pepper prices remain stable on December 30.

The price of black pepper from Lampung, Indonesia, is at $ 6,817/ton, while white pepper from Muntok remains at $ 8,921/ton.

Kuching ASTA black pepper from Malaysia is priced at $ 8,500/ton, and ASTA white pepper from the same country is at $ 10,700/ton.

In Brazil, ASTA 570 black pepper is trading at $ 6,275/ton.

In Vietnam, exported black pepper of 500 g/l is traded at $ 6,400/ton, while the 550 g/l type is at $ 6,700/ton. Exported white pepper is priced at $ 9,600/ton.

Global pepper prices remain unchanged today. Over the past week, the pepper market has shown an upward trend.

The price of black pepper in Indonesia has increased sharply by 1.2%, while white pepper from the country has only risen slightly by 0.1%.

In Malaysia, black pepper prices also rose by 1.2%, while white pepper increased by 0.9%. Meanwhile, the price of black pepper from Brazil has remained stable.

Similarly, the export prices of black and white pepper from Vietnam have remained unchanged compared to last week.

Thus, global pepper prices on December 30, 2024, are stable compared to yesterday.

In the domestic market, the price of pepper on December 30 has not changed compared to yesterday.

Specifically, in Dak Lak, the price remains at VND 147,000/kg.

Similarly, in Dak Nong, the price is also at VND 147,000/kg.

In Gia Lai, the price is trading at VND 146,500/kg.

In Dong Nai, traders continue to buy pepper at VND 147,000/kg.

The price of pepper in Ba Ria - Vung Tau remains at VND 147,000/kg.

Meanwhile, traders in Binh Phuoc are still purchasing pepper at VND 146,500/kg.

Domestic pepper prices today remain stable, with the highest price reaching VND 147,000/kg. Over the past week, the domestic pepper market has risen significantly, by VND 1,500 - 2,000.

The recent heavy rainfall in Central and Central Highlands regions, along with improved buying activity for the year-end holidays, has helped boost pepper prices in the last week of 2024.

Overall, the amount of goods traded in the market is quite low, and liquidity remains slow. Currently, the three largest export markets for Vietnamese pepper— the US, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE)— account for up to 44.1% of the total export value of this product.

Thus, domestic pepper prices on December 30, 2024, are trading around VND 146,000 - 147,000/kg.
