Specifically, the price of black pepper from Lampung, Indonesia, remains at $ 6,627/ton, while white pepper from Muntok is stable at $ 9,143/ton.
In Malaysia, Kuching ASTA black pepper is priced at $ 8,400/ton, and ASTA white pepper is trading at $ 10,500/ton.
In Brazil, ASTA 570 black pepper is being traded at $ 6,150/ton.
In Vietnam, export prices for black pepper grade 500 g/l stand at $ 6,200/ton, while grade 550 g/l is priced at $ 6,500/ton. White pepper for export is currently at $ 9,400/ton.
The pepper market this week showed a strong upward trend, with black pepper in Brazil rising by 2.5%, and black and white pepper prices in Indonesia increasing by 2.4% and 1%, respectively. Meanwhile, other countries reported no new changes.
Thus, global pepper prices on December 1, 2024, remain stable compared to the previous day.
In Vietnam, domestic pepper prices continue their strong upward momentum compared to yesterday.
Specifically, Dak Lak recorded a purchase price increase to VND 147,000/kg, up by VND 2,000;
Pepper prices in Dak Nong today rose by VND 1,500, reaching VND 146,500/kg;
Pepper in Gia Lai is priced at VND 145,000/kg, up by VND 1,000;
Similarly, traders in Dong Nai raised their purchase price to VND 145,000/kg;
In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, pepper prices stand at VND 144,000/kg, also up by VND 1,000;
Finally, traders in Binh Phuoc increased their prices by VND 1,000, reaching VND 145,000/kg.
The domestic pepper price today continues its upward trend with an increase of VND 1,000 - 2,000. Following a series of strong increases in recent days, the price of this agricultural product has reached as high as VND 147,000/kg.
Compared to last week, domestic pepper prices have surged by VND 4,000 - 7,000 this week.
Thus, the domestic pepper price on December 1, 2024, is trading around 144,000 - 147,000 VND/kg.
