Globally, pepper prices on November 6 are declining across Southeast Asian countries.
Specifically, the price of black pepper from Lampung, Indonesia, dropped by 0.09% to $ 6,665/ton. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper from the country also fell by 0.09%, standing at $ 9,125/ton.
In Malaysia, Kuching ASTA black pepper is priced at $ 8,500/ton, while ASTA white pepper is at $ 11,000/ton.
For Brazil, ASTA 570 black pepper is trading at $ 6,300/ton, down by 1.59%.
In Vietnam, the export price of 500 g/l black pepper is trading at $ 6,500/ton, while 550 g/l black pepper is at $ 6,800D/ton. Export-grade white pepper is priced at $ 9,500/ton.
Global pepper prices on November 6, continue to show a slight decrease in Indonesia and a sharp drop in black pepper prices from Brazil. Meanwhile, other markets have shown no changes.
According to the International Pepper Community (IPC), citing data from the International Trade Center (ITC), Turkey's pepper imports have increased significantly recently. In 2023, the country imported 8,819 tons of pepper, a 40% increase compared to 2022.
Thus, global pepper prices on 11/06/2024, have decreased in Indonesia and Brazil compared to yesterday.
In Vietnam, domestic pepper prices today, November 6, show little change compared to yesterday.
Dak Lak still purchases pepper at VND 141,000/kg;
Dak Nong continues to maintain the price at VND 141,000/kg;
Gia Lai maintains a price of VND 140,000/kg;
Similarly, Dong Nai traders are purchasing pepper at VND 140,000/kg;
Ba Ria-Vung Tau's price has decreased by VND 1,000, now at VND 140,000/kg;
Meanwhile, Binh Phuoc traders are purchasing pepper at VND 140,000/kg.
Thus, domestic pepper prices on 11/06/2024, are trading around VND 140,000 - 141,000/kg.
