Pepper prices today 05/12 in the world market continued to increase slightly in Indonesia and remained unchanged in other countries.
Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia increased by 0.17%; up to $3,572/ton. And the price of Muntok white pepper in this country increased by 0.17%; at $6,056/ton.
Malaysia's Kuching ASTA black pepper price remained stable at $4,900/ton; while the country's ASTA white pepper is still priced at $7,300/ton.
For the Brazilian market, the price of black pepper ASTA 570 is $2,950/ton.
In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper of 500 and 550 g/l is $3,500 and $3,600/ton, respectively. The export price of white pepper is $5,000/ton.
World pepper prices today continued to increase in Indonesia but remained unchanged in other export markets.
The global pepper market adjusted in price in the context of volatile macroeconomic conditions and the recovery of the dollar.
In addition, a more pleasant climate after a series of hot days has reduced concerns about pepper production next season. Thereby, global pepper prices also dropped.
Thus, pepper price today 05/12/2023 in the world market increased slightly in Indonesia compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of pepper in Dak Lak and Dak Nong today decreased by VND 1,000, to VND 74,000/kg;
Pepper price today in Gia Lai with the same decrease, trading at VND 73,000/kg;
Pepper price today in Dong Nai decreased slightly, purchased at VND 74,000/kg;
The latest pepper price today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau decreased slightly to VND 76,500/kg;
And Binh Phuoc pepper price today decreased by VND 500, trading at VND 76,000/kg.
The domestic pepper price today turned around and dropped sharply by VND 1,000/kg in the Central Highlands, and slightly down by VND 500/kg in the Southeast provinces.
In the past 20 days, the domestic pepper market has increased its price by up to VND1 0,000/kg.
According to experts, the price increase of domestic pepper in the past 3 days has come from the great demand from the Chinese market. from the Middle East after a long holiday, and also from Middle Eastern countries.
Besides, 2 large corporations in Vietnam with abundant financial resources have purchased and hoarded pepper. This pushed pepper prices to continue to rise.
However, due to the cool weather in the past few days, farmers are less worried, as they fear that the prolonged and uncomfortable heat may cause the next season's harvest to continue to decrease.
Thus, pepper price today 05/12/2023 in the domestic market is trading around VND 73,000 - 76,500/kg.
