World pepper price today May 9

Pepper prices today 05/09 in the world market fluctuate in Indonesia and are stable in other countries. 

Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia increased sharply by 1.93%; up to $3,575/ton. The price of Muntok white pepper in this country decreased slightly by 0.25%; about $6,061/ton.

Malaysia's Kuching ASTA black pepper price remained stable at $4,900/ton; while the country's ASTA white pepper is still priced at $7,300/ton.

For the Brazilian market, the price of black pepper ASTA 570 is $2,950/ton.

In Vietnam, the export prices of 500 g/l and 550 g/l black pepper are $3,500 and $3,600/ton respectively. The export price of white pepper is $5,000/ton.

World pepper price today listed by the International Pepper Community (IPC) increased sharply in Indonesian black pepper. The price of white pepper in this country decreased slightly.

Meanwhile, IPC is listing prices sideways in other markets.

Thus, pepper price today 05/09/2023 fluctuated oppositely in the world market compared to yesterday.

Pepper price today in Dong Nai increased by VND 1,000; purchasing at VND 72,500/kg;

The latest pepper price today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau increased sharply to the threshold of VND 75,000/kg;

And Binh Phuoc pepper price today 05/09 traded at VND 74,500/kg; a slight increase of VND 500.

Domestic pepper prices today increased slightly in Binh Phuoc and increased sharply by VND 1,000/kg in other key regions.

The continuous increase in the past time has helped the domestic pepper market to reach new milestones and has now reached VND 75,000/kg.

According to experts, concerns about declining supply in the country and the world are the main driving force behind the sharp increase in pepper prices in recent years.

In addition, weather condition (in particular, prolonged hot weather) is affecting the flowering and fruiting of crops, and raising concerns about the yield in the next crop. The fear of drought and lack of water for irrigation remains when the harsh summer is coming.

In addition, the market is also waiting for export data for April 2023 to be officially announced to assess the market.
