The live pig market in the North remains stable compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the pig prices in Hung Yen, Hanoi, Hai Duong, and Thai Binh are set at VND 69,000/kg, the highest in the region.

Other localities maintain a price of VND 68,000/kg.

Thus, the live pig prices in the North on 10/02/2024 are trading at VND 68,000 - 69,000/kg.

The live pig market in the Central and Central Highlands regions remains unchanged compared to yesterday.

Specifically, VND 67,000/kg is the highest price in the region and is being purchased in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh.

The two provinces of Thua Thien Hue and Ninh Thuan are trading at VND 64,000/kg, the lowest in the region.

Other localities maintain pig prices at VND 65,000 - 66,000/kg.

Thus, the live pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands on 10/02/2024 are being purchased around VND 64,000 - 67,000/kg.

Ha Giang contains the African swine fever

According to a report from Ha Giang province, in the middle of September 2024, African swine fever occurred in 108 pigs belonging to 25 households in three communes of two districts: Quan Ba and Xin Man. The total weight that has been destroyed is over 3.8 tons.

According to the Director of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department of Ha Giang province, currently, the areas of Ha Giang city, Dong Van district, Yen Minh, Quan Ba, and an additional six communes: Bat Dai Son, Dong Ha, Quan Ba, Yen Phu town, Pa Vay Su commune, and Na Chi have declared the disease free in the area. Five communes: Ta Van, Can Ty, Tam Son town, Thanh Van, and Cao Ma Pha have gone 21 days without any disease outbreaks.
