Domestic and global coffee prices update as of January 13, 2025
Globally, both the London and New York exchanges remained steady on January 13.
On the London exchange, Robusta prices for March 2025 delivery slightly declined by $ 13 (equivalent to 0.26%), settling at USD 4,966/ton. Meanwhile, the May 2025 delivery reversed course, dropping $ 12 (equivalent to 0.25%) to $ 4,879/ton.
On the New York exchange, Arabica prices for March 2025 delivery saw a sharp rise of 5.35 cents (equivalent to 1.68%), reaching 323.85 cents/lb. Similarly, the May 2025 delivery increased by 5.1 cents (equivalent to 1.62%), trading at 319.80 cents/lb.

Global coffee prices remained stable on January 13. Over the past week, the two major exchanges moved in opposite directions, with Robusta March 2025 futures falling by $ 2/ton, while Arabica March 2025 futures rose significantly by 5.2 cents/lb.
From a technical perspective, the New York exchange is expected to have favourable conditions for further increases based on current factors.
Meanwhile, the market continues to closely monitor the new crop from Vietnam. Weather conditions have improved, facilitating harvest activities. Supply is expected to rise significantly ahead of the Lunar New Year.
However, traders report that the output from the 2024/25 harvest remains limited, and post-holiday trading activities are still sluggish.
Thus, global coffee prices on January 13, 2025, remain unchanged from the previous day.
Domestically, coffee prices across the market remained stable compared to yesterday.
In Lam Dong Province, the districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha are trading at the same price of VND 118,300/kg.
In Dak Lak Province, Cu M'gar district is buying coffee at VND 119,100/kg, while Ea H'leo and Buon Ho districts are trading at VND 119,000/kg.
In Dak Nong Province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap are purchasing coffee at VND 119,100/kg and VND 119,000/kg, respectively.
In Gia Lai Province, Chu Prong district is trading at VND 118,900/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai are holding steady at VND 118,800/kg.
In Kon Tum Province, coffee is being purchased at VND 118,900/kg.
Domestic coffee prices today showed no new changes, with the highest level recorded at VND 119,100/kg. Over the past week, the domestic coffee market experienced a significant decline of VND 1,400 - 1,500.
Thus, as of January 13, 2025, domestic coffee prices are trading within the range of VND 118,300 - 119,100/kg.
