Domestic coffee prices today slightly rebound, bringing this agricultural product closer to the VND 120,000/kg mark.

In 2024, global coffee prices continuously set new records, primarily due to concerns over supply shortages from major exporting countries like Vietnam and Brazil, caused by unfavorable weather conditions.

Additionally, the surge in speculative buying by hedge funds, rising tensions in the Red Sea driving up sea freight costs, and nations increasing stockpiles ahead of Europe enforcing EUDR after December 30, 2024, are key factors contributing to the sharp rise in coffee prices.

Thus, as of January 10, 2025, domestic coffee prices are trading around VND 118,500 - 119,700/kg.
