Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, Arabica prices for March 2025 delivery remained at 322.65 cents/lb, and May 2025 delivery prices were steady at 317.60 cents/lb.
Global coffee prices today showed no new fluctuations. Last week, the market experienced a significant decline across the board.
Specifically, Robusta prices for March 2025 delivery fell by $49/ton, while Arabica prices for March delivery dropped sharply by 2.35 cents/lb.
According to a USDA report, global coffee consumption is forecasted to increase by 5.1 million bags compared to the previous season, reaching 168.1 million bags in the 2024/25 season. This increase is mainly driven by the European Union (EU), the United States, and China.
However, ending coffee inventories for the 2024/25 season are expected to decrease by 1.5 million bags (6.6%), reaching the lowest level in 24 years, at only 20.9 million bags, compared to 22.3 million bags in the 2023/24 season.
Additionally, the USDA forecasts that global green coffee exports will slightly increase by 1.4 million bags, reaching over 144.8 million bags in the 2024/25 season, thanks to recoveries in Vietnam and Indonesia offsetting declines in Brazil.
Thus, global coffee prices on December 30, 2024, remained stable compared to yesterday.
In the domestic market, coffee prices today, December 30, showed no new fluctuations compared to yesterday.
Specifically, in Lam Dong province, the three districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha are trading at VND 120,300/kg.
In Dak Lak province, Cu M’gar district is purchasing coffee today at VND 120,800/kg. Meanwhile, Ea H’leo and Buon Ho districts are trading at VND 120,700/kg.
In Dak Nong province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R’lap are buying at VND 121,000/kg.
In Gia Lai province, Chu Prong district is trading at VND 120,800/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai districts remain at VND 120,700/kg.
Finally, the purchasing price of coffee in Kon Tum province today is VND 120,700/kg.
Domestic coffee prices today remained stable, with the highest level reaching VND 121,000/kg. Over the past week, the domestic coffee market saw a slight decline, losing only VND 200.
Thus, as of December 30, 2024, domestic coffee prices are trading around VND 120,300 - 121,000/kg.
