Global coffee prices showed mixed movements today. In London, prices increased slightly due to concerns that off-season rains in Vietnam could further disrupt the already delayed harvest and raise concerns about quality.

Meanwhile, Robusta stocks on the ICE exchange as of December 6 had dropped to their lowest level in seven and a half months, at 3,674 lots.

On the other hand, at the New York exchange, prices decreased slightly as the US dollar rose to its highest level in two and a half weeks. Traders indicated that the market was reassessing concerns about Brazil's crop outlook, the world’s top coffee producer.

Although production has been reduced due to this year's drought, the impact may not be as severe as initially forecasted. In the latest report, a price reporting agency and an independent research company provided preliminary forecasts for Brazil’s coffee production, with total output potentially reaching 68-70 million bags for the 2025/26 season.

Thus, global coffee prices on December 14, 2024, showed mixed changes compared to yesterday.
