The latest market prices for coffee in Vietnam and globally on 05/13/2024
On the global market, both the London and New York exchanges on May 13 saw no significant changes.
In which, Robusta prices on the London exchange for July 2024 delivery remained at $ 3,440/ton. Meanwhile, the September 2024 contract stayed stable at $ 3,362/ton.
On the New York exchange, Arabica prices for July 2024 delivery were steady at around 201.15 cents/lb. The September 2024 contract remained at 199.95 cents/lb.
The latest prices for Arabica and Robusta coffee on 05/13/2024
Global coffee prices today remain stable. Last week, the world market experienced a collective decline. However, Arabica prices for the July 2024 contract only saw a slight decrease of 0.55 cents/lb, while Robusta prices for July delivery dropped by as much as $101 per ton.
Assessing this week, experts believe that coffee prices will continue to be influenced by monetary policies and the fluctuations of the USD. There may be a slight increase this week to balance out trading volumes on the exchange.
Thus, global coffee prices on 05/13/2024, continue to remain stable compared to yesterday.
In the domestic market, coffee prices on May 13 remain stable compared to yesterday.
Specifically, in Lam Dong province, the districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha are trading at the same price of VND 100,000/kg.
In Dak Lak province, the district of Cu M'gar is currently purchasing at VND 101,000/kg. Meanwhile, Ea H'leo and Buon Ho districts are trading at VND 100,900/kg.
In Dak Nong province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap are trading at VND 101,000 and VND 100,90/kg, respectively.
In Gia Lai province, Chư Prông district is trading at VND 100,500/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai districts are both maintaining a price of VND 100,400/kg.
The purchasing price in Kon Tum province today is VND 100,500/kg.
Domestic coffee prices today remain unchanged, with the highest threshold reaching VND 105,000/kg. Last week, this agricultural product continued to experience a significant decline and lost an additional VND 1,500/kg.
In the first two months of 2024, the EU imported coffee from the foreign exchange market amounted to EUR 1.82 billion (equivalent to $ 1.94 billion), a decrease of 0.9% compared to the same period last year. However, the EU still increased its coffee imports from Vietnam by a staggering 24.5% compared to the same period last year, reaching EUR 318 million (equivalent to $ 340 million).
Also in the first two months of 2024, Vietnam's market share of this agricultural product in the total import value of the EU from the foreign market increased from 13.9% (in the first two months of 2023) to 17.46%.
Thus, domestic coffee prices on 05/13/2024, are trading around the range of VND 100,000 - 105,000/kg.
