The price of coffee on July 5 in the world market increased and decreased oppositely in 2 major exchanges.
At the time of the survey, the price of Robusta coffee on the London exchange for delivery in September 2023 decreased slightly by $11/ton (equivalent to 0.43%); down to $2,527/ton.
And the price of coffee delivered in November 2023 on this exchange decreased by $6/ton (equivalent to 0.25%), at $2,431/ton.
The price of Arabica coffee on the New York exchange delivered in September 2023 increased by 1.5 cents/lb (equivalent to 0.94%); to 160.50 cents/lb.
For the November delivery term, the price of coffee on this exchange increased by 1.60 cents/lb (equivalent to 1.01%); to 159.70 cents/lb.
World coffee prices today are falling slightly on the London floor in the context of investors waiting for the minutes of the Fed meeting, scheduled to be released today. All predictions confirm that the Fed will almost certainly raise interest rates at the next meeting, pushing the USD up, and putting coffee at a disadvantage.
Robusta coffee inventory report on the London exchange on July 3 fell by 50 tons, or 0.05% from a day earlier, registered at 73,900 tons.
On the New York exchange, the price of Arabica coffee moved sideways because this exchange stopped trading for the US Independence Day holiday.
Weather reports that coffee-growing regions in southern Brazil remain dry, favourable for farmers to boost their harvest. Therefore, the country's new crop of coffee will soon be sold to support the consumer market to increase supply and offset the scarcity of goods from other main producers.
Thus, the price of coffee on 07/5/2023 in the world market fluctuated slightly compared to yesterday.
Coffee price on July 7 in the domestic market decreased slightly by VND 100/kg compared to yesterday.
Specifically, the price of Lam Dong coffee (in 3 districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc and Lam Ha) is being purchased at VND 64,700/kg today.
In Cu M'gar district (Dak Lak), the price of coffee today remained at VND 65,100/kg. In Ea H'leo and Buon Ho districts, today's coffee price in Dak Lak is kept at VND 65,000/kg.
Coffee prices in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap of Dak Nong province today were purchased at VND 65,300 and VND 65,200/kg, respectively.
In Gia Lai, the price of coffee in Chu Prong today is at VND 64,900/kg; while at Pleiku and La Grai are keeping at VND 64,800/kg.
The price of coffee today in Kon Tum is being purchased at VND 64,900/kg.
Coffee prices in the country turned down today. However, this decrease did not cause the domestic pepper market to lose the threshold of VND 65,000/kg.
Thus, the price of coffee on 07/5/2023 in the domestic market traded around the threshold of VND 64,700 - 65,300/kg.
