The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) forecasts that world coffee production in the 2021-2022 coffee year will decrease by 11.0 million bags (about 7%) to 164.8 million compared to last year. It is mainly due to the impact of recent drought and frosts on Brazil's crop as Arabica coffee enters the final year of its biennial high-yielding cycle.
In the world market, coffee prices today, September 3, decrease slightly in two large exchanges.
After the latest session, the Robusta coffee futures price in ICE Futures Europe (London) exchange for November 2021 contracts is down by US$ 10 per ton at US$ 2,056 per ton and down by US$ 7 per ton at US$ 2,021 per ton for January 2022 contracts.
Likewise, the Arabica coffee futures price in ICE Futures US (New York) for December 2021 contracts is down by Cent 1.35 per pound at Cent 194.35 per pound and down by Cent 1.2 per pound at Cent 197.05 per pound for March 2022 contracts.
In the domestic market, coffee prices today, September 3, also go down compared to yesterday.
Specifically, coffee prices today in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts of Lam Dong province is VND 39,200 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 100.
In Dak Lak province, coffee prices are VND 40,000-40,100 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 200.
In Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces, coffee is purchased at VND 39,900-40,000 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 100.
Pepper prices today, September 3: continue to decrease by VND 500 per kilogram in most key provinces.
In the world market, pepper prices today, September 3, at Kochi exchange (India), keep unchanged compared to the latest session, at INR 41,300 per quintal. India is still temporarily suspending transactions due to no customers due to Covid-19.
In the domestic market, pepper prices continue to decrease in most provinces compared to yesterday.
Specifically, the pepper price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is at VND 74,500 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 500.
In Dong Nai province, the pepper price is VND 73,000 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 500.
With the same decrease of VND 500, the pepper price is VND 73,500 in Gia Lai province.
The pepper price in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province keeps at the highest of VND 77,000.
The pepper price in Binh Phuoc province keeps at VND 75,500 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 500.
In the world market, rubber prices are adjusted oppositely in exchanges compared to the last session.
In Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the futures rubber price for September 3021 contracts is up by JPY 0.1 at JPY 193.0 per kilogram, up by 0.7 JPY at JPY 197.0 per kilogram for October 2021 contracts, and down by JPY 0.2 at JPY 201.7 per kilogram for November 2021 contracts.
In Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the futures rubber price for September 3021 contracts keeps at CNY 12,865 per ton, at CNY 12,905 per ton for October 2021 contracts, and at CNY 12,920 per ton for November 2021 contracts.
In the domestic, rubber prices are stable compared to yesterday.
Fresh rubber latex prices in Binh Phuoc province range from VND 320-327 per TSC-DRC.
Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company, Binh Phuoc province, publishes the fresh rubber latex price at VND 325 per TSC-DRC.
In Dak Lak province, the rubber latex price is VND 16,000-18,000 per kilogram, depending on the type.
Rice prices today, September 3, have no change in most types.
