(VAN) September 2, 2021, pepper prices go down by VND 1,000 per kilogram in most key provinces compared to yesterday. Conversely, coffee keeps its tend to increase in recent days.

Forestry and agricultural commodity prices today, September 2, keep unchanged in the world pepper market, are adjusted oppositely in the world coffee market, and decrease in the world rubber market.

Coffee prices

In the world market, coffee prices today, September 2, change oppositely in two large exchanges.

After the latest session, the Robusta coffee futures price in ICE Futures Europe (London) exchange for November 2021 contracts is up by US$ 40 per ton at US$ 2,066 per ton and up by US$ 34 per ton at US$ 2,028 per ton for January 2022 contracts.

Conversely, the Arabica coffee futures price in ICE Futures US (New York) for December 2021 contracts is down by Cent 0.25 per pound at Cent 195.65 per pound and down by Cent 0.25 per pound at Cent 198.25 per pound for March 2022 contracts.

Robusta coffee prices continue to increase when the supply from Vietnam is stagnant because of Covid-19. As for Arabica coffee, the decrease is due to the weather in southern Brazil has rains to relieve the drought, helping to reduce concern about coffee trees to differentiate new crop sprouts.

In the domestic market, coffee prices today, September 2, increase slightly compared to yesterday.

Specifically, coffee prices today in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts of Lam Dong province is VND 39,300 per kilogram, increasing by VND 100.

In Dak Lak province, coffee prices are VND 40,300-40,400 per kilogram, increasing by VND 200.

In Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces, coffee is purchased at VND 40,100-40,200 per kilogram, increasing by VND 100.

Pepper prices

In the world market, pepper prices today, September 2, at Kochi exchange (India), keep unchanged compared to the latest session, at INR 41,300 per quintal.

In the domestic market, pepper prices decrease sharply in most provinces compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the pepper price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is at VND 75,000 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 1,000.

In Dong Nai province, the pepper price is VND 73,500 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 1,000.

The pepper price in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province keeps at the highest of VND 77,000, decreasing by VND 1,000.

The pepper price in Binh Phuoc province keeps at VND 76,000 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 1,000.

Rubber prices

In the world market, rubber prices in September decrease simultaneously in exchanges compared to the last session.

In Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the futures rubber price for September 2021 contracts is down by JPY 1.9 at JPY 192.9 per kilogram, up by 0.8 JPY at JPY 196.3 per kilogram for October 2021 contracts, and down by JPY 3.9 at JPY 201.9 per kilogram for November 2021 contracts.

In Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the futures rubber price for September 2021 contracts is down CNY 45 to CNY 12,865 per ton, down by CNY 10 at CNY 12,905 per ton for October 2021 contracts, and up by CNY 5 at CNY 12,920 per ton for November 2021 contracts.

Rubber prices in Japan fell in line with the trend of rubber prices in the Chinese market after industry data from China showed that economic growth in the world's largest rubber-consuming country slowed down.

In the domestic, rubber prices are stable compared to yesterday.

Fresh rubber latex prices in Binh Phuoc province range from VND 320-327 per TSC-DRC.

Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company, Binh Phuoc province, publishes the fresh rubber latex price at VND 325 per TSC-DRC.

In Dak Lak province, the rubber latex price is VND 16,000-18,000 per kilogram, depending on the type.

Can Tho province has finished harvesting summer-autumn rice and is preparing to harvest autumn-winter rice early. Dong Thap and An Giang provinces have harvested over 80% of the rice area. However, particularly in some provinces, such as Long An and Bac Lieu, the harvest has only reached nearly 70%.

Due to the lack of combined harvesters and cutters, Bac Lieu province has sent a dispatch requesting Hau Giang and Soc Trang provinces to create favorable conditions to allow people and means of rice harvesting.

In An Giang province, rice prices today, September 2, increase slightly in some types compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the sticky paddy price is VND 4,300-4,400 per kilogram.

The OM 5451 paddy price is VND 5,100-5,300 per kilogram, increasing by VND 100.

The fresh OM 18 paddy price is VND 5,550-5,800 VND per kilogram.

The fresh IR 50404 paddy price is VND 4,700-5,000 VND per kilogram.

The fresh OM 9582 paddy price is VND 4,800-4,900 per kilogram.

The fresh OM 6976 paddy price is VND 5,000-5,200 per kilogram.

The fresh Japanese paddy price is VND 7,500-7,600 per kilogram.

The fresh 8 fragrant paddy is VND 5,500-5,800 per kilogram.

In summary, domestic forestry and agricultural commodity prices today, September 2, move sideways in the rubber market compared to yesterday, and increase slightly in the coffee and rice market but decrease sharply in the pepper market.
