(VAN) September 11, 2021, coffee prices decrease sharply in both the world and the domestic market. Today, pepper prices reach VND 80,000 per kilogram as forecasted in August beginning.

In the world market, coffee prices today, September 11, decrease sharply in two large exchanges.

After the latest session, the Robusta coffee futures price in ICE Futures Europe (London) exchange for November 2021 contracts is down by US$ 28 per ton at US$ 2,050 per ton and down by US$ 11 per ton at US$ 2,038 per ton for January 2022 contracts.

Likewise, the Arabica coffee futures price in ICE Futures US (New York) for December 2021 contracts is down by Cent 2.75 to Cent 187.45 per pound and down by Cent 2.7 to Cent 190.2 per pound for March 2022 contracts.

In the domestic market, coffee prices today, September 11, decrease by VND 400 in most key provinces compared to yesterday.

Specifically, coffee prices today in Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha districts of Lam Dong province is VND 38,700 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 400.

In Dak Lak province, coffee prices are VND 39,500-39,600 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 400.

In Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces, coffee is purchased at VND 39,400-39,500 per kilogram, decreasing by VND 400.

Currently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has also completed a project to develop Vietnamese specialty coffee, focusing on developing it in 8 provinces including Dien Bien, Son La, Quang Tri, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, and Lam Dong.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development requires localities to organize production according to value chains, taking enterprises as the center; focus on training human resources for the development of specialty coffee (from producers, processors, testers, breeders, etc.).

In the world market, pepper prices today, September 11, at Kochi exchange (India), keep unchanged compared to the latest session, at INR 41,300 per quintal. India is still temporarily suspending transactions due to no customers due to Covid-19.

In the domestic market, pepper prices increase by VND 500 per kilogram in most provinces compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the pepper price in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces is at VND 78,000 per kilogram, increasing by VND 500.

The pepper price is VND 77,000 per kilogram in Gia Lai province, increasing by VND 500.

In Dong Nai province, the pepper price is VND 76,000 per kilogram, increasing by VND 500.

The pepper price in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province is at the highest of VND 80,000 per kilogram, increasing by VND 500.

The pepper price in Binh Phuoc province is VND 79,000 per kilogram, increasing by VND 500.

The average export price of Vietnam's pepper in August 2021 reached US$ 3,736 per ton, the highest level achieved since January 2018. This number increased by 3.4% compared to July 2021 and sharply increased by 49.4% compared to that recorded in August 2020.

In the world market, rubber prices keep the decrease in exchanges compared to the last session.

In Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the futures rubber price for September 2021 contracts is down by JPY 4.8 at JPY 188.7 per kilogram, down by 7.9 JPY at JPY 190.5 per kilogram for October 2021 contracts, and down by JPY 7.3 at JPY 194.4 per kilogram for November 2021 contracts.

In Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the futures rubber price for September 2021 contracts is CNY 12,975 per ton, at CNY 12,985 per ton for October 2021 contracts, and at CNY 12,975 per ton for November 2021 contracts.

In the domestic, rubber prices are stable compared to yesterday.

Fresh rubber latex prices in Binh Phuoc province range from VND 315-320 per TSC-DRC.

Phu Rieng Rubber One Member Limited Liability Company, Binh Phuoc province, publishes the fresh rubber latex price at VND 325 per TSC-DRC.

In Dak Lak province, the rubber latex price is VND 16,000-18,000 per kilogram, depending on the type.
