Among that, Vietnam's rice imported into China in the first two months of the year grew very strongly, with 206.3% over the same period in 2020.
China's rice import from Pakistan reached the highest level in the first two months of 2021, with a value of USD127.61 million, up 339.7% over the same period in 2020 and accounting for 29.4% of China’s total imported rice.
In addition, China's rice imports from other markets also increased sharply compared to the same period of 2020, such as Myanmar up 220.4% and Thailand up 83%...
According to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs, in the first quarter of this year, Vietnam's rice exports to China reached 256,516 tons, worth USD136.17 million, a sharp increase of 58% in volume, up 49.7% in turnover compared to the same period last year.
