According to the General Department of Customs, the import turnover of pesticides and raw materials to Vietnam in the first nine months of 2021 reached roughly USD 649.6 million, increasing 22.2 percent over the same time in 2020.
China is the largest market selling insecticides and raw materials to Vietnam. Pesticide imports from China reached over USD 290.34 million in 9 months, increasing 22 percent year on year. Chinese pesticides accounted for 44.7 percent of the country's overall import turnover of this product category.
Imports of pesticides and raw materials from India reached USD 79.63 million, very substantial growth of 41.9 percent over the same period, accounting for 13.3 percent of the entire turnover.
Pesticide imports from the Singapore market in 9 months totaled USD 51.24 million, up 16.8 percent over the same time the previous year, accounting for 7.9 percent of total turnover.
In general, in the first 9 months of this year, Vietnam's import turnover of pesticides and raw materials from all key markets grew compared to the same time in 2020.
