Global pepper prices today remain unchanged. Over the past week, the global pepper market experienced mixed fluctuations, with Sri Lanka's domestic black pepper prices being the only ones reported to increase.

In the short term, global pepper prices are expected to fluctuate downward. However, the downward trend will not last long due to limited supply and rising seasonal import demand.

In major importing markets, demand is increasing in the US, EU, and Asia, while remaining subdued in the Middle East and China. Significantly reduced stock levels have caused farmers and agents to limit sales.

Currently, Brazil is the world's second-largest producer and exporter of black pepper, accounting for 17–18% of global supply. However, Brazil’s pepper exports for the 2024 season have declined, marking the third consecutive year of reduction due to low production. Meanwhile, Vietnam's 2025 new pepper harvest is expected to be delayed by one month, which will have a positive impact on global pepper prices.

Thus, global pepper prices on November 24, 2024, remain unchanged compared to yesterday.
