Global pepper prices on February 5 saw a sharp increase in Brazil.
Specifically, black pepper Lampung in Indonesia remained at $ 7,219/ton, while white pepper Muntok held steady at $ 9,694/ton.
Malaysia's black pepper Kuching ASTA was priced at $ 9,000/ton, and its white pepper ASTA stood at $ 11,600/ton.
In Brazil, black pepper ASTA 570 traded at $ 6,300/ton, up 2.38%.
Meanwhile, Vietnam’s export pepper prices declined, with black pepper at 500 g/l at $ 6,350/ton and 550 g/l at $ 6,650/ton. Similarly, white pepper for export was at $ 9,550/ton.
Global pepper prices remained largely stable on February 5, 2025, with the exception of a significant increase of over 2% for black pepper in Brazil.
Global pepper prices for 2025 are expected to stay high due to declining supply, while demand from major markets like the U.S. and Europe remains steady. The demand for pepper in the food and spice processing industry continues to be a key driver for the market.

The price of pepper in Dak Nong today increased slightly by VND 200, making it the highest purchasing price in the country, at VND 150,200/kg.
In the 5th week of 2025, the price of black pepper in Vietnam recorded steady growth of about 1.32%, shared Mr Marcellus Giovanni, CEO of Brazspice Spices International.
This increase is mainly driven by strong demand from key export markets such as the European Union (EU) and the US. Despite the Tet holiday period, market activity has remained relatively stable as exporters and producers have resumed operations.
Thus, domestic pepper prices on February 5, 2025, are trading around VND 149,000 - 150,200/kg.
