Global pepper prices remained stable on April 23, 2025. According to data from Chinese Customs, in the first two months of the year, China imported a total of 1,230 tons of pepper, valued at $8.6 million — a 2.3-fold increase in volume and a 3.3-fold increase in value compared to the same period last year.
Indonesia and Vietnam remained the two largest suppliers to the Chinese market, with import volumes of 581 tons and 416 tons, respectively. Compared to the same period last year, pepper imports from Indonesia rose sharply by 227%, while imports from Vietnam increased by 58.8%.
