Live pork prices

Live pork prices today, August 13, in the Northern market, move sideways in some provinces compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the live pork price is VND 55,000 in Bac Giang province.

The live pork price in Hung Yen province is the highest of VND 56,000 per kilogram.

Traders in Thai Binh province purchase live pork at VND 55,000 per kilogram.

The live pork price is VND 54,000 per kilogram in Thai Nguyen, the same as in Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Nam Dinh and Phu Tho provinces.

In North Central Coast and Central Highlands, live pork prices today also have no change compared to yesterday, in the range of VND 53,000-55,000 per kilogram.

The live pork price is the highest as VND 55,000 per kilogram in Thua Thien Hue, Quang Ngai, Ninh Thuan and Binh Dinh provinces.

The lowest live pork price is VND 53,000 per kilogram in Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Dak Lak and Binh Thuan provinces.

The remaining provinces keep the live pork price at VND 54,000 per kilogram.

In the South, live pork prices today are up slightly compared to yesterday, in the range of VND 52,000-53,000 per kilogram.

With the same VND 1,000 increase per kilogram, live pork prices in Ca Mau and Kien Giang provinces are VND 52,000 and VND 53,000, respectively.

The live pork price keeps at VND 53,000 per kilogram in Vung Tau, Long An, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Tien Giang, Tra Vinh and Ben Tre provinces.

Traders in the remaining provinces purchase live pork at VND 52,000 per kilogram.

White shrimp prices

In Bac Lieu and Ca Mau provinces, white shrimp prices today, August 13, fluctuate in some types compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the 20 head-sized white shrimp price is VND 197,000-217,000 per kilogram, a VND 7,000-10,000 decrease.

But, the 25 head-sized white shrimp is VND 152,000-157,000 per kilogram, a VND 5,000 increase.

The 40 head-sized white shrimp is VND 111,000-113,000 per kilogram, a VND 2,000 decrease.

The 30 head-sized white shrimp is VND 130,000-132,000 per kilogram, a VND 2,000 increase.

The 50 head-sized white shrimp is VND 95,000-96,000 per kilogram, unchanged compared to yesterday.

The 60 head-sized white shrimp is VND 87,500-88,500 per kilogram, unchanged compared to yesterday.

Pangasius prices

In the past three months, the price of pangasius and breeds has decreased by 30-50% in the Mekong Delta due to the export market facing many difficulties. According to the Vietnam Pangasius Association, in the first two months of the year, pangasius prices were at high about VND 30,000-31,000 per kilogram, but now only VND 20,500-22,500.

In Dong Thap, An Giang, Can Tho and Hau Giang provinces, pangasius prices today, August 13, are VND 21,000-22,000 per kilogram, unchanged compared to yesterday.

Prices for 30-35 head-sized pangasius breeds are VND 25,000-30,000 per kilogram, increasing by VND 7,000-10,000 compared to last month. However, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), the pangasius breed prices must be VND 40,000-50,000 per kilogram, so pangasius breed producers are profitable.

Pangasius is one of the key export products of the seafood industry. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, pangasius's export turnover in 2021 is estimated at US$ 2-2.2 billion. Currently, Vietnamese pangasius products are present in 125 markets. The main markets are China, the United States, the EU, and ASEAN countries.

Snakehead prices

In Dong Thap, An Giang, and Tra Vinh provinces, snakehead prices today, August 13, are VND 47,000-48,000 per kilogram, increase by VND 3,000-4,000 per kilogram and by VND 10,000-15,000 compared to the same period of last year.

Prices for 500-700 head-sized snakehead breeds are VND 200-300 per head, unchanged compared to yesterday.

Red tilapia prices

In Dong Thap, An Giang, Vinh Long and Hau Giang provinces, red tilapia prices today, August 13, are VND 34,000-35,000 per kilogram, unchanged compared to yesterday.

Prices for 30-40 head-sized red tilapia breeds are VND 22,000-25,000 per kilogram, unchanged compared to yesterday.

Bronze featherback prices

In Dong Thap, An Giang, Vinh Long and Hau Giang provinces, bronze featherback prices today, August 13, are VND 45,000-46,000 per kilogram.

Prices for 200 head-sized bronze featherback breeds are VND 1,600 per head, unchanged compared to yesterday.
