Fruit and vegetable exports reached 3,3 billion USD in 6 months

VAN) It is forecasted that fruit and vegetable exports in the second half of 2024 will continue to be favorable thanks to seasonal factors and abundant supply.

According to Department of Import and Export (Ministry of Industry and Trade), statistics from the General Department of Customs show, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export value reached 670.5 million USD in June 2024, decreased 12,7% compared to May 2024, but increased by 1,3% compared to June 2023.

In the first 6 months of 2024, the export value of fruits and vegetables reached 3.33 billion USD, up 24.3% over the same period in 2023.

In general, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports in the first 6 months of 2024 recorded a good growth rate, in which the export value to major markets all recorded high growth rates, except for the Dutch market.

China is still the biggest market of Vietnam fruits and vegetables, reaching 2,2 billion USD, up 22,6% over the same period in 2023; followed by the Korean market reaching 164.1 million USD, up 54.6%; The United States reached 157.5 million USD, up 33.5%; Japan reached 99 million USD, up 13.3%...

It is forecasted that fruit and vegetable exports in the second half of 2024 will continue to be favorable thanks to seasonal factors and abundant supply. The output of harvested fruits and vegetables increased about 6%/year, the supply is very large and stable. Meanwhile, world market demand increases. From now until the end of 2024, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable industry still has favorable conditions for development.
