The export value of vegetables and fruits in March 2021 is estimated to reach USD380 million, an increase of 6.3% compared to March 2020, according to the Import and Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade).
Generally, fruit and vegetable export value in the first three months of 2021 is estimated at USD944 million, up 6.1% over the same period in 2020.
China is still the largest market for Vietnamese fruit and vegetable products. In the first two months of 2021, fruit and vegetable exports to China reached USD352.83 million, up 17.5% over the same period in 2020, accounting for 62.5% of Vietnam's total fruit and vegetable export value.
Despite the Covid-19 pandemic was developing complicatedly, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable export activities were taking place very actively in the first three months of this year. As a good result thanks to effective control of the disease, export activities had not been interrupted.
