Latest Arabica and Robusta prices on 11/03/2024

Global coffee prices remain stable today. Over the past week, the market experienced a sharp decline, with Robusta futures for January 2025 down by $ 132/ton and Arabica futures for December decreasing significantly by 5.45 cents/lb.

Traders report that robust Conilon (Robusta) coffee exports from Brazil this season have added pressure on prices. Additionally, recent rains are expected to support Brazil’s coffee crop recovery after a prolonged dry spell, contributing to the ongoing drop in Arabica prices.

Meanwhile, Brazil’s currency, the Real, has weakened to a nearly three-month low against the USD, standing at 5.780 BRL/USD.

In Vietnam, the ongoing harvest is exerting downward pressure on Robusta prices. The recent storm did not cause significant damage, allowing farmers to continue harvesting without delay.

Thus, global coffee prices on 11/03/2024, remained flat compared to the previous day.
