Coffee prices on June 3 globally

On the global market, both the London and New York exchanges on June 3 showed no new fluctuations.

Specifically, the Robusta price on the London exchange for July 2024 remained at $ 4,120/ton. And the September 2024 delivery term held steady at $ 3,987/ton.

Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, the Arabica price for July 2024 remained stable at 222.35 cents/lb. The September 2024 delivery term also remained unchanged at 221.25 cents/lb.

The global coffee prices continue to remain stable today. During the past week, both the London and New York exchanges saw significant increases. Specifically, the price of Robusta for delivery in July rose to $ 228/ton, while the price of Arabica for July delivery increased by 4.1 cents/lb.

In the first two months of 2024, Spain's average coffee import price from the world reached EUR 3,942/ton, a 16.4% increase compared to the same period last year. This price surge stemmed from various major sources, except for Brazil, Colombia, France, the Netherlands, and Portugal.

Spain imported 41.44 thousand tons of coffee from non-EU markets, valued at EUR 129.77 million (equivalent to nearly $ 140.73 million), down 10% in volume and 4.3% in value compared to the same period last year. Among these imports, Spain purchased 19.57 thousand tons of coffee from Vietnam, worth EUR 57.61 million (equivalent to $ 62.47 million), marking a 25.5% increase in volume and a 73.5% increase in value compared to the same period last year.

Vietnam's coffee market share in Spain's total coffee imports from the world rose from 25.22% (in the first two months of 2023) to 33.88% in the first two months of 2024.

Spain also increased its coffee imports from Brazil, Uganda, and Peru but decreased imports from the Colombian market.

Thus, the world coffee prices on 06/03/2024 remained stable compared to yesterday.

Coffee prices on June 3 domestically

In the domestic market, coffee prices on June 3 remained unchanged compared to yesterday.

Specifically, in Lam Dong province, the districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha are trading at the same level of VND 119,000/kg.

In Dak Lak province, the Cư M'gar district is purchasing at VND 120,000/kg, while Ea H'leo and Buon Ho districts are trading at VND 119,900/kg.

In Dak Nong province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R'Lap are trading at VND 120,000/kg and VND 119,900/kg, respectively.

In Gia Lai province, Chu Prong district is trading at VND 120,000/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai districts are maintaining the price at VND 120,000/kg.

The purchase price in Kon Tum province today is VND 120,000/kg.

The domestic coffee prices today saw no new changes, remaining at the highest level of 120,000 VND/kg. Last week, this agricultural product saw a significant increase of up to 4,500 VND.

Thus, on 06/03/2024, domestic coffee prices are trading around the range of VND 119,000 - 120,000/kg.
