Coffee price on Nov 11: about to hit VND 34,000 per kilogram

World coffee price

On Nov 11, in the world market, coffee price reversed to slightly increase at both London Stock Exchange and New York Stock Exchange.

By the end of last week trading session (Vietnam time), Robusta coffee price for November delivery in London increased by 19 US$ per ton (1.43%) to US$ 1,346 per ton; delivery price for March 2021 increased by US$ 18 per ton to US$ 1,379 per ton.

At New York Stock Exchange, Arabica coffee price for December delivery went up 0.45 cent/lb (0.42%) to 107.3 cent/lb, delivery price for March 2021 increased by 0.45 cent/lb (0.41%) to 110 cent/lb.

Overall, coffee price on Nov 11 in the world market reversed to slightly increase compared to yesterday.

Domestic coffee price

Coffee price on Nov 11 in the domestic market continued to rise from VND 300 - VND 400 per kilogram and is forecasted to reach VND 34 million per ton given current long-lasting typhoon situation.

Particularly, purchase price in Di Linh district (Lam Dong province) was at VND 33,100 per kilogram. Bao Loc and Lam Ha districts (Lam Dong province) shared the same price of VND 33,200 per kilogram.

In Cu M’gar district (Dak Lak province), coffee price today remained stable at VND 33,500 per kilogram. In Ea H’leo and Buon Ho districts (Dak Lak province), the price remained at VND 33,600 per kilogram.

In Gia Nghia and Dak R’lap of Dak Nong provinces, coffee was purchased at VND 33,600 per kilogram today.

At Chu Prong of Gia Lai province, the price was VND 33,500 per kilogram. Pleiku and La Grai shared the same price of VND 33,400 per kilogram. The price today in Kontum increased to VND 33,200 per kilogram.

Domestic coffee price today continued to increase due to pro-longed rains which made it very difficult for the collection of coffee in many places in the Central Highlands, especially Northern Central Highlands including Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces.

According to observers, coffee price type 2 (5% maximum of broken black coffee) is estimated to increase to VND 34 million per ton this week in case typhoon and rain continue to sweep through raw material areas.

Overall, coffee price on Nov 11 in the domestic market ranged from VND 33,100 – VND 33,600 VND.
